Adding game controller compatibility to navigate/walk through models

The current method relies on users having to navigate through models using ASDW keys, and this doesn't come naturally to a lot of people.

It would be much easier to move through a model using a gaming controller and its joysticks. They're widely available and many people already have this hardware. Using a controller would be much more user friendly to both old and younger users.
