On many of our large projects our iModels features long stretches of railway or highways. I have received a lot of feedback from our users requesting a method to get a true top view but rotate the view so a stretch of railway and highway will be horizontally levelled to the screen so they can pan form side to side to inspect the design.
Scenario:
Our users sue CAD authoring software to rotate a view by 3 points and have a ‘true’ top view so they can easily pan side to side while reviewing the design. This view will be a true representation of what a drawing will look like in the old traditional way.
Problem
Design Review App does not feature a method to rotate a view and keep a true top view present. The uses needs to rotate the view as best they can using the cube, but this does not give a true top view.
Idea
May we please request a feature to rotate the view and keep a true top view presentation, perhaps similar to the ‘rotate view by 3 points’ tool in MicroStation or Open X suite of Bentley software
