Change transparency on individual elements

for example - this would enable pavement to be changed to transparent so that drainage under the road could be examined without removing the element. This would allow deeper reviews with more contextual information being displayed onscreen. Currently this needs to be done at the source before publishing and impacts design in a negative way.

    This feature is so good! :D One thing I'm missing though, is to invert the selection.

    I think workaround for you would be to highlight some elements e.g. you can highlight drainage to have all other elements transparent and create a saved view to save the settings.
